Fresh Goat Cheese
It’s the typical
story! Our family fell in love with dairy goats and we purchased a couple
for our pleasure. The herd multiplied and we had more milk that we could
use. We experimented with different cheeses and found the fresh goat cheeses
were complimented by the milk our goats produce. Diana set out to get
licensed as the cheese-maker and completed the two-year process in February
2004.
The dairy goats at Dreamfarm are raised on pasture so they can browse
to sustain their needs and enjoy plenty of sun and fresh air. We supplement
with certified organic grain during lactation. Their rich milk develops
into a smooth, creamy spreadable cheese.
Cheese is sold in 8 oz. containers with the following flavors available:
Plain, Garlic, Garlic Dill, Peppercorn, French Herb (basil, chervel, tarragon,
marjoram and chive), Herbes de Provence (savory, thyme, rosemary, basil,
tarrgon & lavender flowers), and Italian Blend (tomato, onion &
garlic).
We offer a variety pack, which includes a different flavor each delivery
or you may choose a flavor from the list above that you would like for
the entire season.
The 2007 season will include new cheeses for your sampling. These cheeses
will replace the fresh-style cheese for one or more deliveries.
